Inspired by an email from the Middle School inviting classes to support
Project Acorn, kindergarten teacher, Gina Brown
took her students to the Quad on a beautiful fall afternoon to collect acorns, but not before reading Chipmunk at Hollow Tree Lane to the class. Project Acorn is a Middle School Green Ambassador
initiative designed to gift every graduating senior an oak seedling grown from a
Quad acorn. The sentiment is that, even though they are going out into
the world, their roots will always be at GA. The children proudly delivered
some of the acorns to a Green Ambassador meeting and used the remaining acorns in a fall art project.
